About Daniel Wilson
Daniel began his hairdressing journey training with Toni & Guy, before joining the renowned Southampton salon group Storm Hair, where he progressed to the Art Team, producing photographic work and presenting at shows and seminars.
His career then took him to Ascot, where he became Creative Director of the award-winning Smile Hair.

“I wanted to start my own salon because I wanted to move away from corporate-style companies and work in a relaxed, creative space, surrounded by great, like-minded hairdressers.” – Daniel

In 2014, Daniel returned to his roots in Southampton and opened Daniel Wilson Hairdressing on East Street. Today, the salon thrives at its new home on 42 Bedford Place, continuing Daniel’s vision of a creative, welcoming space for clients and stylists alike.
Our salon is perfectly situated near a variety of independent cafés, shops, restaurants, and bars, making it easy to turn your visit into a full day out. Just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Southampton, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the local area—and show off your new hair! Plus, with parking available directly opposite the salon, you’ll never have to worry about finding a space.
